Terms and Conditions

Making any payments (cash or otherwise) towards Lombardy Wine Tours constitutes your unconditional acceptance of all these terms and conditions. Lombardy Wine Tours shall be referred to as LWT within this document.

What is included in LWT tours
All hotel accommodations including all taxes. Half board accommodation - breakfast, dinners as detailed on itineraries, with wine chosen by the farmhouses. All scheduled: wine tours, tastings and museums. A one-time group pick-up on day of arrival and a one-time group drop-off on day of departure to or from designated airport/train station. Ground transportation via private van/mini-bus only during LWT scheduled activities. All itinerary items are subject to change.
What is not included in LWT tours
All airfare and airport taxes. Any expenses not specified in the itinerary, such as telephone calls, fax, laundry, personal items and sundries, individual purchases, tour cancellation/health insurance, additional food and drink, including personally ordered wines- even if consumed in place of provisions provided on the tour, services or meals other than those specifically mentioned in the itinerary, gratuities to airport personnel and the coach driver.
Accommodations: Stays are in farmohouses and based on double or twin bed accommodations as confirmed by LWT. Rooms are with private bath (toilet, shower and/or tub).
Documents & Eligibility
LWT assumes that all tour participants have all the necessary, valid personal identity documents to enter and stay in Italy and in the European Union. Should any country refuse entry of a client, for any reason, LWT is not responsible and no refund is applicable. All LWT clients must be minimum 21 years of age. Proof of age may be required.
Preparing for your trip
LWT count on our travellers to be physically healthy and fit. We strongly advise you read all of the pre-trip information we send you in regards to: what to bring, predicted weather conditions, social etiquette, etc.
Reservations & Deposits
A deposit of 50% per person is required at the time of booking to secure reservations (unless specified otherwise). The balance is due 60 days prior to departure (See LWT's calendar for exact departure dates). If reservations are made 60days or less, prior to departure, the total price of the package is due at the time of booking. Should we not receive balance of payment 60 days prior to departure your space on the tour is cancelled, and your non-refundable deposit per person will be forfeited.
LWT accepts American Express, Visa, Diners, MasterCard for all tour payments, and/or electronic transfer direct to bank account.
Cancellations & Refunds

All tour participants have a right to cancel with fees as outlined below. The reservation must be cancelled by telephone during business hours and confirmed in writing to LWT reservation department. The date of cancellation is the date LWT receives the written confirmation.

CANCELLATION FEES PER PERSON IF NOTICE IS RECEIVED:

60 or more days prior to departure……………………………NO FEE
59-30 days prior to departure…………………………………Deposit amount, plus any additional penalties assessed by hotels and/or other suppliers.
Less then 30 days, including the day of departure……………NO REFUND
Insurance
LWT strongly suggests the guests to take an insurance against trip cancellations and/or interruptions. LWT reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure for any reason, including insufficient number of participants. Should this happen, the refunds will be made.
We highly recommend that you buy extended hospital/medical/dental insurance to supplement your existing health insurance or benefits plan. Should you choose not to purchase such extended coverage, all costs and expenses relating to any hospital/medical/dental care or treatment shall be your sole responsibility.
Health
The registrant takes full responsibility for being fully able to participate in the daily activities foreseen in the itinerary, noting that many sightseeing areas require quite a bit of walking. LWT assumes no responsibility for the registrant's ability to fully participate in the tour. By making a payment towards LWT, you certify that you do not have any physical condition of disability that would create a hazard for you or other clients, and that you understand that the health care standards of the visiting country may be different, such as hospital availability. Some facilities, on LWT tours, do not have elevators or related services with which to gain access and will not be accessible to some clients.
Foreign Currency Exchange Rates
All tours are quoted in Euro.
Disputes
It is agreed that in the event of any dispute over the interpretation, application or performance of the travel agreement, the forum will be in Lecco, Italy.
Liabilities
LWT is not responsible or liable in any way for any damage or loss (including property stolen, lost or damaged), accidents, injuries, or delays occurred during the tour. Neither will LWT be held responsible for any default or act caused by its suppliers and/or their employees. LWT reserves the right to change the routes, accommodations, transportation, meals and other travel services at any time without prior notice. It is understood that reasonable efforts will be made to find equivalent services in interest and value. Although LWT makes every effort to ensure the agents we have chosen are responsible agents, we are unable, and do not have, control over them, and therefore cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions. The client agrees not to bring or maintain any legal action against LWT, our employees or agents or independent contractors in respect of any such injury, loss or damage and release them from any such liability and any liability in respect of claims made against the client as a result of the client's actions on a tour. LWT can refuse passage on the tour to anyone that LWT considers unfit or whose behavior becomes a nuisance for the participating travelers and/or the hosts. LWT will never be held responsible, in any way, for death, accidents or illness of the traveler, nor for political and/or civil unrest, strikes, acts of God or any other act or cause beyond LWT's control. In all events, LWT shall not be liable for any consequential damages and the sole extend of LWT liability shall never exceed the amount actually paid by the guest to LWT.
Lombardy Wine Tours cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel any tour at any time for any reason, such as if there are too few participants (minimum of 6), if the safety of our guests is in question, or the quality of our tour is in question, or for any other reason. If this happens, we will attempt to notify you at least 90 days before departure. All deposits and tour price payments will be refunded. We do not recommend non-refundable, advance-purchase air tickets, as we cannot assume responsibility for any loss incurred on account of such tickets.
